1-1 Online Sessions
Sometimes the easiest way to access therapy is from the comfort of your own home. I offer 1-1 sessions over zoom, creating an online safe space where we can safely explore what's troubling you and develop effective coping strategies you can take out into the "real world".
Free Consultation
Your therapy journey starts with finding the right therapist for you, and I never want you to feel pressured to work with me if you don't feel it's a good fit. To make sure I'm the therapist that meets your needs, I offer a free 30 mins consultation session, where we briefly talk about what you're looking for and I explain how my therapeutic approach could help you meet your goals.
Community Music Therapy
There are many settings where music therapy can be beneficial, including schools, private clinics and more. As a freelance therapist with my own instruments, I am available to travel within the Edinburgh area to provide 1-1 and group sessions for clients of all ages and abilities. If you're interested in how music therapy could be beneficial in your community settings, please don't hesitate to reach out.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to be good at music?
Absolutely not! The point of music therapy isn't to be "good", so there is no music experience required. We're here to process our emotions, not write the next hit song.
Is there talking in music therapy?
While music is the heart of music therapy, there is plenty of talking as well. There will be a lot of talking about how you're feeling, what's on your mind, and debriefing after music making.
How long will therapy take?
Session length and numbers will vary from person to person; everyone's needs are different. I work in session blocks of 10 sessions, with a check-in every ten sessions to see how you feel therapy is going. Session prices will vary depending on length, but my standard sessions are £60 for an hour.
